How we design for you 

At Salisbury Design we use engineering precision to make your vision come to life. Our aim is to deliver a client focussed service tailored to your design needs. We are happy to take on both residential and commercial projects and have the bandwidth to take your build from inception to fruition. We understand that some people like to the idea of designing their own space but may not have the confidence to make their vision happen; we are happy to work as an advisory sounding board to answer all those niggling uncertainties that may have lead to inaction in the past. 

Our fees will be completely transparent from the outset with the customers budget paramount to our designers.

Here at Salisbury we have built up relationships with a number of trades and are happy to make recommendations as well as be your client liaisons with existing builders.

The vision 

Founded in 2015 by Design Engineering graduate Aidan Foley, Salisbury design is the culmination of years of theoretical and practical work. Starting off in 2002, Aidan worked as a technical design engineer for British Aerospace before moving on to work for Rolls Royce Motor Cars, where he designed some of the interior parts for what was at the time, the first new 'Phantom' for a generation. 

Aidan had always had a strong interest in the financial markets so when Goldman Sachs offered him a position, the opportunity was one he could not refuse. While working in the markets his love for design never wained and he continued to renovate and redesign properties for colleagues and family members. 

After leaving banking in 2013 Aidan set about building a property for his family with the aim of sympathetically restoring a Victorian house while also marrying some modern styles and structures. During this time the vision for Salisbury design was born.

Our vision is entwined with the owners Engineering background. Functional / Simple / Beautiful.  We aim to deliver designs that work for the environment in which it exists. The layout of a room and the pieces in it should function as well on the day its put together as it does years down the line. Too many design houses will chose style over substance so they can get that perfect shot for the portfolio yet in the real world, the design just doesn't function as a space. We aim to deliver you a robust yet beautiful design that you can live with for many years to come.
